DERVISH


In the last few years I have been working on just one image at a time. This WC/Gouache has taken a month to complete. ( A ridiculous amount of time for a medium most suitable to the spontaneous). A dear friend called these paintings “absurdly complex” and I must admit, there is some truth in his statement. But I already know how to resolve a painting easily. I am searching for unknown points of entry and deeper levels, both of surface and experience.
